Reading the legend and matching against the catalogue…
Before you order
- Colours marked Exact are the bead your pattern asks for. Everything else is a suggestion worth a look before you buy.
- Colour closeness is judged against Preciosa's own published sample card where it lists the bead, and against shop photos otherwise. Preciosa print their own caveat on that card — “the displayed colors may not fully correspond with reality” — so treat every suggestion as a guide, not a colour proof.
- Most substitutes also change the finish — matte for glossy, opaque for iridescent — which photographs hide well. The product page usually describes it, and it changes how a bead reads in beadwork more than a small colour difference does.
- Prices and stock were correct when the catalogue was last built. Check the vendor page, and check the pack size: some listings are single tubes, others six-hank lots.
